HALO is a primary care office that focuses on ages 50+. Here at HALO, we believe you should be in charge of your health. We understand that each patient is different; therefore, we strive to work with you to develop a plan of care that is obtainable and reasonable.
Meet The Team
Bethany Gaultney,
AGNP-C, GS-C
Bethany grew up in a small town in Alabama. After graduating cum laude from Jacksonville State University School of Nursing, she moved to Orlando, FL where she worked primarily in a cardiac progressive care unit at Orlando Health. Bethany earned her masters from Florida Southern College. She then moved to Bluffton, SC in 2018 and started seeing patients in assisted living facilities and skilled nursing facilities. Bethany felt called to open up her own practice once she realized the great need for primary care in Bluffton. HALO opened its doors to its first patient in 2021. Bethany has a heart for the geriatric population and obtained a geriatric certification from the Gerontology Nursing Certification Commission (GNCC) in addition to her national certification.
Bethany enjoys spending time with her two dogs, running and all things water.
Katherine "Katie" Turbeville, DNP, FNP-C
Katie is originally from Atlanta, but considers South Carolina her home. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Auburn University (War Eagle) graduating Magna Cum Laude. After college she moved to Charleston, SC where she worked as a Registered Nurse at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) for 5 years in medical surgical nursing, trauma, and long term acute care. In 2017, she completed her Doctorate from MUSC.
As a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she has worked in several facets of healthcare, including pediatrics, home health, urgent care and now at HALO Primary Care.
Katie and her husband live in Bluffton with their two children and yellow lab. They enjoy boating on the MayRiver, golf cart rides around old town, and watching college football.
Selina, Office Manager
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Selina is the friendly face you see when you come into the office and the voice you hear when answering phones. She's a proud military wife and a mom of 3. Over the years her family has lived in 2 countries, 5 states and 8 homes. In 2018 the Navy moved them to the lowcountry where they fell in love with oak trees and the small town feel. Calling Bluffton home doesn't mean they stay still too long. They have a heart for travel and make sure their passports are always up to date. Selina says, "Working at HALO is amazing. I love getting to know our patients and hearing their stories. There's a lot to learn when you just sit and listen to someone."
